We’re praising God for all He’s done at Cornerstone. We’ve prayed, and still do pray, that God would do a mighty work in Box Hill and beyond - all for His glory. At the beginning of 2024 we started our official 'launch team development'. In August 2024 we had our public launch, meeting at Arndell Anglican College in the neighbouring suburb.

Looking back, we are very humbled with all God has already done. By His grace, we have seen numerous people come to faith in Jesus. We’ve seen disciples mature, getting deep in the word, growing in fellowship, serving, worshipping God throughout their lives and on mission together.

Box Hill and the surrounding suburbs is a growing, multicultural area, where nations are at our doorstep. We’re excited to see all that God will continue to do. We know that this is Jesus’ church and “unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)

Some ways to pray:

  • Give thanks! Chris is thankful for the gospel generosity he has already seen at work in people, churches and the diocese.
  • Please pray for Chris’s family and the church family – that they would walk closely with the Lord and that He would guard their hearts as they seek to be united in this gospel endeavour.
  • Pray for the hearts of the people in the area. Pray they would be softened and open to the great gospel message.
  • Pray for the practical needs of the plant – for people to join and for material needs to be supplied (like a place to meet).

How can you be involved?
